About the Role: As a Registered Nurse on our General Medical and Surgical Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a diverse range of patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient-Centered Care: Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to individuals on the ward.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Safety First: Prioritize patient and staff safety while maintaining the highest standards of care.
  • Team Leadership: Assume a leadership role by supervising and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs), to deliver top-quality patient care.
  • Patient Education: Empower patients with education and support for their health recovery and overall well-being.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Registration: Hold a current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical Experience: Bring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience to the role, with a strong foundation in general medical or surgical nursing.
  • Commitment to Quality: Demonstrate your unwavering commitment to delivering quality patient care in accordance with industry standards.
  • Clinical Competence: Exhibit sound clinical decision-making skills and a talent for problem-solving.
  • Effective Communication: Showcase excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team Player: Thrive both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Possess proficiency in basic computer operations.
