Clinical Nurse - ICU

Role Overview:

• Position: Clinical Nurse
• Location: Brisbane
• Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Hours: 72 hours per fortnight to full-time hours

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.
• Maintain a high standard of care according to the individuals’ level of experience and education within a safe environment.
• Provide leadership and support to an established team.
• Identify and initiate quality improvement activities.
• Encourage effective communication within the team.

Essential Criteria:

• Current Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
• Post Graduate Certificate in ICU/Critical Care Nursing or actively working towards it.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience within an ICU/Critical Care environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, initiate, and implement quality improvement projects within a team.
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
• Intermediate computer skills.
