About the Role: As a Perioperative Nurse, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, delivering evidence-based nursing care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise, dedication to patient safety, and commitment to quality patient care will be pivotal in ensuring successful surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evidence-Based Care: Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative journey.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Safety First: Prioritize patient and staff safety during surgical procedures.
  • Supervision: Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs), to provide top-notch patient care.
  • Patient Education: Offer education and support to individuals and patients for managing their health recovery effectively.

Essential Criteria:

  • AHPRA Registration: Hold a current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Perioperative Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in perioperative nursing.
  • Post Graduate Certification: Hold or be actively working toward a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing.
  • Working with Children Check: Required for this role.
  • Quality Patient Care: Demonstrate your unwavering commitment to delivering quality patient care in compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Clinical Expertise: Exhibit sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Excellence: Showcase excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team Player: Thrive both independently and as a valuable team member.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operations.
