Clinical Nurse Manager - Aged Care - West Auckland

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Senior Registered Nurse, or a Seasoned Nurse Manager, to lead a friendly team of clinical and non-clinical staff, in a close-knit, modern residential aged care facility, located in Henderson, Auckland.

About the opportunity: 

As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of all clinical and non-clinical staff within the facility, including but not limited to, housekeeping, allied health and maintenance staff. Leading from the front, your primary objective is foster a safe, positive environment and to ensure that residents are provided with high quality, holistic care at all times.

The successful application will have: 

• Proven leadership experience with high performing clinical teams – ideally within Aged Care sector
• A good understanding of Aged Care standards in NZ and auditing and certification requirements
• Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ and a current APC
• A high level of knowledge and experience in quality and risk management, preferably in an Aged Care setting
• Excellent communication skills, with staff, management and external stakeholders
• A passion for continued quality improvement in the clinical care and non-clinical care of residents
• The ability to provide additional support to staff when the need arises
