Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in the emergency department according to legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and deliver evidence-based care.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff at all times.
  • Mentor and guide Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) in patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patients’ medical records.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • A minimum of 2 years of postgraduate RN experience in an acute emergency setting.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (NSW).
  • Availability for on-call shifts.
  • A strong commitment to quality patient care.
  • Familiarity with ACQSHC national standards.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
