Prospero Health and Social are actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner with Aged Care experience to work in a Newcastle, New South Wales.

About the Nurse Practitioner Role:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent patient care. You’ll work alongside a team of doctors, GPs, nurses, doctors, receptionist, all dedicated to supporting your work.
Consulting with Geriatricians / GPS in the ordering of diagnostics
Advance Care Planning or residents
Provision of expert advice for the care and treatment of palliative care
Identify and adopt clinical practice models e.g review new treatments, technologies and therapeutic interventions.
Keep concise resident records
Provide education and professional development activities., including specialised educational resources for resident/consumers and carer group
 

What You Need to Get This Role:
Registered Nurse with post graduate qualifications as a Nurse Practitioner
Hold or be eligible to apply for endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (APHRA).
5 years experience as a RN
Minimum of three years full time within the aged or community care environment

Solid knowledge of Nurse Practitioner Standards of Practice (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
A commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
The willingness to embrace the challenge of a busy and fulfilling aged care setting.
